Disclaimer: I am a brand ambassador for Central Arkansas McDonald’s. All opinions are my own.

Truth is, I have not always been a breakfast fan. I LOVE breakfast foods, just not in the morning. Just thinking about eating early in the morning made my stomach turn for years. When McDonald’s introduced the All Day Breakfast Menu in October of 2015, I rejoiced along with much of the American population. Breakfast foods for dinner? YES, PLEASE!

Now, we can combine McDonald’s best breakfast foods with our favorite lunch and dinner classics to create some tasty meals.

5 McDonald’s All Day Breakfast Menu Hacks

1. Crepes

Crepes are a well-known food in France and throughout Europe.  Crepes are thin pancakes filled with a variety of fillings from sweet to savory and have recently started to become more popular in the US. This McDonald’s All Day Breakfast Menu hack will take a tiny bit of work on your part but is a yummy twist on your average breakfast.

What to order:

  • Hotcakes
  • Fruit N’ Yogurt Parfait

How to make it:

Separate the three hotcakes on the tray. Using a spoon scoop the yogurt portion of the parfait over two of the hotcakes and the fruit portion over one of the hotcakes.  Stack them on top of each other finishing with the fruit covered hotcake.  Sprinkle the granola that comes with the hotcakes over the top. Drizzle with syrup, if desired, and enjoy.

2. The Humpty Dumpty Burger

If you have never had an egg on a burger, you are missing out! The egg adds a whole new dimension to the burger turning it into an, even more, protein-packed and flavorful meal.

What to order:

  • Signature Crafted Sweet BBQ Bacon Burger – no BBQ sauce – add a “round egg”

3. Chicken Cordon Bleu

Cordon Bleu is French for “blue ribbon” and refers to a dish of fried chicken stuffed with ham and cheese.

What to order:

  • Egg McMuffin, add extra cheese, add chicken patty or buttermilk crispy chicken breast
  • Honey Mustard Sauce

How to make it:

Depending on the location, you may or may not have to do some assembly on this sandwich. At the very least you will need to spread your own honey mustard onto the English muffin. This is a great way to take your breakfast sandwich to an upscale height.

4. Chicken and Waffles

McDonald’s doesn’t serve waffles but their McGriddles are a pretty close alternative. This meal is perfect for those nights when it seems too late for dinner but not quite the right time for breakfast yet.

What to order:

  • Sausage McGriddle replace the sausage with a chicken patty (or Hotcakes)
  • Syrup

How to make it:

You can order the Hotcakes if you like but I like to get the Sausage McGriddle because I think the flavor and texture of the McGriddle more closely resembles a waffle.  Drizzle with syrup and eat with a fork and a knife.

5. Ice Cream Pancakes

What could be better than dessert and breakfast combined? The warm pancakes make the ice cream all melty and delicious. This is good stuff!

What to order:

  • Hotcakes
  • Butterscotch Sundae
  • Strawberry Jelly

How to make it:

Spread the Hotcakes across the tray. Scoop the Butterscotch Sundae on top of the pancakes. Spoon some strawberry jelly on top and sprinkle with the chopped peanuts that came with the sundae. Grab a knife and a fork (or spoon) and enjoy.  You can thank me later!
