Start a Happy Habit #busdutycoffee

Disclaimer: I am a brand ambassador for Central Arkansas McDonald’s.  All opinions are my own.

Habits seem to get a lot of flack but habits don’t always have to be bad.  In fact, replacing a bad habit with a good habit or something special can help you be more successful at breaking a bad habit.

Implementing a good habit can also serve as a reward to help motivate you to do something else.

My habit is my weekly bus duty coffee.

During the 2014-2015 school year, I had outside bus duty every Monday morning.

I hated it.

Getting to work 10 extra minutes early, ON A MONDAY, is not my cup of tea. Turns out, it was my cup of coffee!

I decided I needed a Happy Habit! I started treating myself to coffee from the Bald Knob McDonald’s Drive-thru every Monday morning. It gave me the pick-me-up I needed and gave me a special treat to look forward to.

This year, my bus duty changed to Tuesday mornings but I decided to continue my weekly tradition.

Each week on my way to work I pulled through the McDonald’s drive-thru and picked up a Medium McCafe Coffee with four cream. No sugar!

The caffeine helped wake me up on those sleepy mornings. The warm cup and hot liquid helped get me through those cold mornings. And the McCafe Iced Coffee (cream only) became my go to when the weather started to warm.

As it turns out, I have grown to love morning bus duty. There is just something exciting about standing outside with a warm drink and wishing good morning to all the kids and staff that passed me by. My weekly #busdutycoffee really helped me to be alert and learn to enjoy something I had previously dreaded.

From June 29th to July 3rd you can receive a $1 off any large McCafe beverage. This offer is on the McDonalds mobile app along with many others!
